About Jade

Jade is the collective name for two mineral varieties: Nephrite and Jadeite—both long revered across the world for their spiritual significance, soothing energies, and vibrant beauty. While similar in look and feel, these stones differ in composition. Jadeite is a sodium aluminium silicate (NaAlSi₂O₆), rarer and harder, often exhibiting intense green to lavender tones. Nephrite is a calcium magnesium iron silicate (Ca₂(Mg,Fe)₅Si₈O₂₂(OH)₂), generally found in softer green to creamy white hues and is more commonly used in carvings and traditional artefacts.

Jade ranges in colour from luminous white to mossy green, celadon, mint, lavender, yellow, brown, black, and even orange. It has a smooth, almost buttery feel and a waxy lustre. With a Mohs hardness of 6 to 7, it is both durable and soft in energy—making it a beautiful combination of strength and gentleness.

Major Jadeite deposits are found in Myanmar (Burma), Guatemala, and Japan. Nephrite Jade is sourced from China, New Zealand (Pounamu), Russia, Canada, USA (Wyoming, California), and Taiwan. Myanmar’s Imperial Jadeite, with its rich emerald-green hue, is considered the most valuable.

Healing with Jade

♥ Harmony ♥ Emotional Nourishment ♥ Abundance ♥ Inner Peace ♥ Emotional Release ♥ Longevity ♥ Wisdom ♥ Grounding ♥ Joy ♥ Fertility ♥ Divine Protection

Jade is a deeply stabilising and spiritually nurturing crystal known as a stone of harmony and healing across body, mind, and soul. It is particularly revered for bringing calm in the storm—helping to soothe emotional turbulence, release suppressed grief, and restore a grounded sense of inner peace.

It works powerfully through the Heart Chakra, dissolving energetic blockages and encouraging self-love, forgiveness, and acceptance. It’s an excellent stone for those who are overly self-critical or have difficulty recognising their own worth. Jade teaches gentleness with the self and promotes a deep, quiet strength from within.

Jade is often referred to as a dream stone, used in ancient times to access spiritual guidance and encourage meaningful, symbolic dreams. It assists in dream recall, subconscious insight, and emotional decoding during meditation or sleep. Its frequency is gentle yet potent, fostering a deep sense of spiritual protection and inner alignment.

For those experiencing emotional overload or chronic anxiety, Jade offers a natural stabilising energy. It helps one stay present in the body, shifting focus from mental spirals to inner calm. This makes it ideal for empaths, healers, caregivers, or anyone affected by emotional overstimulation.

Emotionally, Jade teaches emotional resilience, encouraging grace under pressure and helping the user to make wise, heart-aligned choices rather than reactive ones. It’s also a stone of maturity, bringing patience, humility, and emotional intelligence in complex situations.

Jade fosters emotional fertility—the kind needed to birth new visions, nourish relationships, and heal family dynamics. In romantic or platonic connections, it promotes mutual understanding, honesty, and soul-deep bonding. Its balancing nature gently releases toxic emotional patterns and encourages self-awareness and growth.

Jade is one of the best stones for attracting abundance, particularly when it comes from soulful alignment rather than material greed. It supports a life of purposeful prosperity, guiding the wearer to cultivate wealth that nourishes the heart, not just the wallet. In Feng Shui, Jade is placed near the entrance of homes or in the wealth corner to draw in good fortune, luck, and financial flow.

As a talisman of divine protection, it was worn by warriors and emperors alike to protect the soul from harm, deception, and spiritual interference. Today, it’s still used in rituals and energy work for psychic shielding, especially when worn over the Heart or Third Eye.

Jade is also ideal for intention-setting and manifestation. It strengthens one's resolve and helps maintain focus during long-term projects or personal transformations. This makes it perfect for students, creatives, or entrepreneurs seeking to bring their visions into form with stability and heart.

Jade has long been regarded as a powerful ally in traditional healing systems, particularly in Chinese medicine, where it is used to support kidney health, bladder function, and the overall urinary system. Its calming and harmonising energy is believed to assist in hormonal balance and fertility, especially for women seeking to conceive or regulate their cycles. On a broader scale, Jade is thought to soothe the nervous system, reduce physical tension, and encourage deep relaxation—making it beneficial for those suffering from stress-related conditions or nervous exhaustion. It is also credited with supporting the immune system, enhancing the body’s natural defences, and aiding in overall recovery and resilience. In physical detoxification practices, Jade is said to gently assist the digestive system and promote the elimination of toxins, restoring vitality and balance. In the realm of beauty and self-care, Jade has become a staple in facial massage tools like jade rollers and Gua Sha stones, which are believed to encourage lymphatic drainage, improve skin tone, and increase circulation—contributing to a clearer, more radiant complexion.

Jade is also believed to soothe the digestive system, ease muscular tension, and assist with detoxification. White and lavender varieties are thought to be particularly helpful for calming the mind and nervous system.
