About Moldavite  [Also Known as VLTAVA]

Moldavite is a tektite which is found in Czechoslovakia and was formed during meteoritic action which produced a "strew field" of this beautiful green stone. It is one of the rarest varieties of tektite, was formed over 15 million years ago, and is the only known "gem quality" stone of extra-terrestrial origin.

Tektite is a form of meteoritic glass from outer space. Many believe that it is a piece of our moon or a piece of the planet Mars. Moldavite is a tektite and is covered separately above. The following properties apply to ALL tektites.

This mineral provides encouragement to one to gather knowledge throughout the travels of life. It hinders lasting impressions of undesirable experiences, and encourages lasting impressions of desirable experiences.
