About Lepidolite

Lepidolite is a soft, lilac-to-rose-violet mica mineral, composed primarily of potassium lithium aluminium silicate. Its shimmering appearance comes from its layered, sheet-like structure and high lithium content, which also gives it its deeply calming and emotionally balancing energy. Lepidolite often forms in association with Quartz, Tourmaline, and other lithium-rich minerals, and can range from opaque to semi-translucent with a gentle pearly sheen.

With a Mohs hardness of 2.5–4, Lepidolite is relatively fragile and best suited for gentle handling in jewellery, palm stones, and energy work. Despite its softness, it is one of the most powerful natural sources of lithium available in crystal form.

Major deposits of Lepidolite can be found in Brazil, Madagascar, Russia, Zimbabwe, and the United States (notably California and New Mexico).
