Crystal Knowledge - Seraphinite

About Seraphinite

Seraphinite is a striking variety of clinochlore, a member of the chlorite group of minerals, renowned for its deep forest-green colour interspersed with shimmering, silvery feathery patterns. These iridescent inclusions create a celestial, wing-like appearance, reminiscent of angelic feathers—hence the name, derived from the Seraphim angels of spiritual lore.

This rare stone is primarily sourced from a single location in the world: the Lake Baikal region of Siberia, Russia. With a Mohs hardness of around 2 to 2.5, Seraphinite is quite soft and delicate, best suited for pendants, earrings, or polished specimens rather than rings or bracelets.
