Pilea cadierei, also known as the aluminium plant or watermelon Pilea, is a hardy little plant with very few needs to be kept happy. Simply water when soil is dry and keep in bright indirect sunlight and it will sprout into a lovely bushy plant with broad green leaves with silver patches.
Position: Very hardy and will do well in all climates. Bright, indirect sunlights is best.
Watering: Water when soil is dry.
This Pilea enjoys regular feeding at any time of the year; however it can also live for years without feeding, but will barely grow.
Pilea are best repotted each Spring into new soil for vigorous growth. Older plants can remain in he same pot for many years.
